  Friday Folk Night

Friday Folk Night (Sanderson Hall, St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main St. South, Brampton, Ont.) 7:30 p.m. – Coffee-House style folk music concert. Tonight: Swing Night! Featuring Moo’d Swing and Hot Swing Caravan. Prepare for a mid-winter thaw as we heat things up with a double bill of exciting swing music. While both groups perform swing music from the same era, their musical styles are quite different. Moo’d Swing specializes in Western Swing music popularized by artists such as Bob Willis, while Brampton’s own Hot Swing Caravan pays homage to the Gypsy Jazz swing played by the likes of Django Reinhardt. Tickets ($18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors) are available at the door, at the St. Paul’s church office, or through reservations by calling 647-BFF-FOLK (647-233-3655), or by emailing info@bramptonfolk.ca. Tickets are also available for $18 through the City Theatre Box Office (905-874-2800). For more information, please visit http://www.bramptonfolk.ca.
