  Friday Folk Night

Friday Folk Night (Sanderson Hall, St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main St. South, Brampton, Ont.) 7:30 p.m. – Coffee-House style folk music concert. Tonight: Traditional Singer and Guitarist from Newfoundland Matthew Byrne. We are extremely lucky and honoured to be bringing in this interpreter of traditional Newfoundland music from his native province. In just a few short years Matthew has swiftly earned his place as one of Canada’s most authentic and vital traditional voices. His live performance offers tasteful and honest interpretations of folk songs delivered with polished guitar work and powerful vocals, while his repertoire transcends time and place with traditional songs from both sides of the Atlantic. Opening act: TBA. Tickets ($18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors) are available at the door, at the St. Paul’s church office, or through reservations by calling 647-BFF-FOLK (647-233-3655), or by emailing info@bramptonfolk.ca. Tickets are also available for $18 through the City Theatre Box Office (905-874-2800). For more information, please visit http://www.bramptonfolk.ca.
