The Brampton Folk Club is a non-profit community organization whose purpose is the following:

  • To promote and encourage folk music in the Brampton area.
  • To provide a forum for musicians to develop their skills in performing folk music.
  • To provide as a resource to the city a talent pool for entertaining at community and charitable functions.

We’ve got plenty of exciting free concerts lined up this summer:

  • Our first Thursday Night Concert of the summer occurs on the first official day of summer, June 20th, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. We’ve got a terrific line-up for this concert that features Mike Butterworth, Sylvia Genders, Harpin’ Norm Lucien and the duo Mark Yan and Barry Mulcahy. This free concert is part of the weekly Thursday Night Concert Series, which is being held on the Rose Theatre Patio this summer due to construction in Gage Park.
  • On Canada Day (July 1st), we’ll be performing at the Community Stage located at the Paddleboat Pavilion on the west side of the south pond in Chinguacousy Park. This year’s exciting line-up includes Carlos Medina, Efosa Ohenhen, Mike Gauthier and Brown Ale. The stage is hosted by the Chinguacousy bands who will provide entertainment there all afternoon.
  • The Glenn McFarlane Trio will be performing a high energy Canada Day set as part of the Funtastic Fun Fest at the Brampton Sports Complex on Kennedy Road South on Sunday June 30th starting at 8 p.m. For more details about this event, visit https://funtasticfest.com/.
