Welcome to our website!
The Brampton Folk Club is a non-profit community organization whose purpose is the following:
- To promote and encourage folk music in the Brampton area.
- To provide a forum for musicians to develop their skills in performing folk music.
- To provide as a resource to the city a talent pool for entertaining at community and charitable functions.
*New for 2024! Our monthly folk club meetings will now be hold at the Snelgrove Community Centre, 11692 Hurontario St, Brampton, just south of Mayfield Road on the west side next to MacDonald's, starting January 8th. Click here for our 2024 meeting dates.
Our Friday Folk Night Concert Series kicks off on September 27th with a special Multimedia show by David Newland entitled "In Search of Lost Tress". Check out our full 20th season here!
Our next Online Open Mic over Zoom will be September 20th. Our next Open Mic at Gallery 35 will be on October 18th at 35 Queen St. West in downtown Brampton, right beside the Daily Times Square. This lovely art gallery has a cafe at the back so you can enjoy a cup of your favourite beverage. Both Open Mics run from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with sign-up starting at 7 :00 p.m. Format is 2 song mini-sets. All styles of acoustic music are welcome. Admission is free, so bring your friends! Donations to help offset the cost of the event are greatly appreciated.
